Susan Lansbury provides a lifelong professional history working with children, teens, and young adults. She began working in the NICU as a new registered nurse in 1984, & recently had the opportunity to work in a multi-specialty pediatric clinic, in the Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Division. In between, Susan has over 20 years’ experience working in pediatric primary care.
Susan has always been interested in focusing on mental health in every patient. She is a firm believer that mental health deeply impacts physical health & one’s ability to defend against both physical & social stressors that impact children and teens in different, but important, ways throughout their life experiences at each stage.
To our practice, Susan brings experience working with children & teens suffering from ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Stuttering, Autism of all levels of severity, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Pediatric Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, victims of abuse/neglect, foster children, & those struggling with sexual or gender identity. Susan is currently upgrading her knowledge of, & ability to be a skilled & welcoming therapist, in addition to medication management & surveillance for the above conditions.
Susan Lansbury moved to the Richmond area recently, after becoming a first-time grandmother. She is a mother of 3 adult children of her own, as well as 2 sons in laws. She loves to travel, learn new languages, & swimming competitively! She enjoys spending time with her dog, Stella Marie, who is her current cuddle buddy.
