Dr. Iguchi currently provides individual, couples and family therapy to clients from age 2 to adult. She enjoys working with clients on a variety of presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, behavior disorders and inattention. Dr. Iguchi relies on an integrative approach to therapy, utilizing techniques from interpersonal, cognitive-behavioral, DIR/Floortime and family systems therapies. After developing a collaborative relationship with her clients in a safe environment, she designs interventions to address the specific needs of each client or family. Dr. Iguchi also provides cognitive, educational and personality assessments for children, adolescents and adults to assess for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, Autism and emotional functioning. Dr. Iguchi has developed a special interest in the assessment and treatment of children with Autism and other developmental disorders, including mood swings and behavior problems related to disorders in sensory processing.
Dr. Iguchi joined the Hanover office of LifeStance Health Associates in January 2011. In addition to her clinical work, she was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the College of William & Mary and worked for several years as a School Psychologist in local public schools providing services to preschool, elementary and middle school children and their teachers and families. Before beginning her clinical training, Dr. Iguchi enjoyed teaching at a local private school for children with learning disabilities.
Dr. Iguchi earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Mason University. She is licensed in Virginia as a Clinical Psychologist and licensed by the Virginia Department of Education as a School Psychologist. She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
