Kristen Norton, LCSW
Mrs. Norton is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology degree from The University of South Carolina in 2004, and earned her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work in 2006. Areas of specialty include anxiety; depression; mood disorders; trauma based disorders; personality disorders; support for clients/families living with psychosis; and high functioning ASD. Preferred modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
Kristen works from a strengths based perspective and believes that the best outcomes are reached through collaboration with all entities involved in a child’s care, and by nurturing resiliency within an individual and family system. Kristen has experience working in residential, hospital, and crisis settings. In addition, Kristen provides clinical supervision to social work trainees who are working towards licensure. Kristen is a member of the National Association for Social Workers and the Local Human Rights Committee.
