Dr. Jewel Gear, Psy.D
Dr. Jewel Gear is a licensed clinical psychologist with 19 years of clinical experience. She holds a master's degree in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology.
She did her internship at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology at Boston University Medical Center and her residency with Arlington County Child & Family Services. Dr. Gear works with clients across the age and diagnostic spectrum providing individual, family, couples and group therapy and conducting psychological evaluations.
Her primary areas of focus are working with children, adolescents, and families. She is experienced in treating depression, anxiety/OCD, trauma, and serious mental illness. She also specializes in treating conduct disorders, multicultural/acculturation issues, providing culturally sensitive assessments, parent-child relationship issues, co-parenting challenges, and men's issues. Dr. Gear is bilingual in English and Spanish.
