Dana Soper, M.D.
Dr. Soper joined CCA’s new Center for Behavioral Medicine and Neuropsychology as a general adult psychiatrist in July 2018. After attending college at Pennsylvania State University, medical school and internal medicine internship at the University of Maryland, she completed psychiatry residency and Consult-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at MCV/Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr Soper has accumulated many achievements including Chief Resident and VCU medical school teaching awards.
Dr. Soper provides collaborative care that bridges physical and mental health. She believes in a multifaceted approach to integrated patient care that is both team-based and patient-centered. She understands that both medication management and psychotherapies, often used in combination, are important to treating the patient as a whole.
Dr. Soper sees adults ages 18 and up. She has interests in general adult psychiatry and consult-liaison psychiatry. Specialty areas include women’s mental health/reproductive psychiatry and chronic medical illness. Dr. Soper is board certified in Psychiatry.
